<p>NORTH VERNON</p>
<p>Arthur E. Anderson, 90, of North Vernon, formerly of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.</p>
<p>Born June 5, 1926, in Jacksonville, Florida, Arthur was the son of Arthur and Carolyn (Henson) Anderson.</p>
<p>Arthur served in the U.S. Navy and was employed by United Telephone Co. as a service technician.</p>
<p>He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, diving and animals.</p>
<p>Survivors include a son, Sidney Anderson of Jacksonville, Florida, three daughters, Debbie White of Jacksonville, Florida, Lisa Anderson of St. Augustine, Florida, and Pam Lane of North Vernon; a brother, Earl Anderson of Marietta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jenni White, Catherine Douangnouanexay and Lauren, Tori and Emma Lane.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Jean Hauschild.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Jennings County 4-H Livestock or Freedom Hunt Southern Swing.</p>
<p>A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service,115 S. State St., North Vernon. Rev. Tom Mattingly will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.</p>
