Gladys B. Denny Daglish Kernodle

<p>INDIANAPOLIS</p>
<p>Gladys B. Denny Daglish Kernodle, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016.</p>
<p>She was born July 8, 1929, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Kelly and Zora Mae Woodall Denny.</p>
<p>Gladys attended Southport High School and married Robert Daglish, who preceded her in death. She then married Jay Kernodle, and he also preceded her in death.</p>
<p>She was employed with Toler Pharmacy for 33 years.</p>
<p>Gladys was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 497, where she was the very first female president.</p>
<p>Gladys is survived by her children, Barbara (Mike) Morris, Susan (Oscar) Guzman, Connie (Jim) Holzhausen, Judy (Ron) Albertson, Bob (Laura) Daglish and Kathy (Bill) Aliff; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 497, 3011 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222.</p>
