<strong>Franklin squeaks past Mooresville</strong>

Delanie Hill, Mysia Dewitt and Emily Hill each scored to help Franklin pull out a 3-2 victory against Mooresville on Wednesday evening.
<h4><strong>Boys soccer</strong></h4>
<strong>Grizzly Cubs top Cardinals</strong>

Five different players found the back of the net for Franklin in a 5-3 home win over Southport on Tuesday.

Joe Nerding, Kenny Hamblin, Owen Atkison, Sam VanderVeen and Francisco Francisco scored for the Grizzly Cubs (1-1-1), who open conference play today at Mooresville. Garrett Snyder added three assists.
<h4><strong>Volleyball</strong></h4>
<strong>Braves outlast Cascade in 5</strong>

Four players totaled double-digit kills, led by Brittany Dugan’s 15, as Indian Creek twice rallied from a game down to pull out a 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 26-24, 15-12 triumph over Cascade on Tuesday night.

Malea Brownfield had 54 assists and Tori Travers totaled 29 digs for Indian Creek. Dugan added 10 blocks in the win.
<h4><strong>Boys tennis</strong></h4>
<strong>Indian Creek edged by Spartans</strong>

Despite victories at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles, Indian Creek came up short in a 3-2 setback at Southwestern (Shelby) on Tuesday.

Dalton Campbell was a 7-6, 6-2 winner at No. 3 singles, while the doubles tandem of Bryce Waddell and Scott Russell also triumphed in straight sets.
