<strong>Greenwood resident wins Kroger Scholars award</strong>

Evan McClain of Greenwood received a Kroger Scholars award of $1,000.

He is the son of Dana McClain, an associate at the store at 3100 Meridian Park Drive in Greenwood.

Evan McClain will be a sophomore at Indiana University-Purdue University majoring in computer science-software engineering.

<strong>lery of Excellence</strong>Roncalli High School’s yearbook will be used to give other high schools across the country ideas for their publications.

The school’s 2016 yearbook was inducted into the Walsworth Publishing Gallery of Excellence.

This recognition is given to yearbooks for distinguished coverage, innovative design and superior copy and photographs.

The Roncalli yearbook will be loaned to schools across the country to serve as an idea generator. It will be displayed at state, regional and national conventions and workshops. Specific spreads from the yearbook will be used as example illustrations in Walsworth’s educational materials.
<p style="text-align: left"><strong>Franklin band accepts vendor applications</strong></p>
Vendors selling handcrafted goods can sell their creations at an upcoming craft show. Franklin Community High School’s band boosters are looking for vendors to participate in the Oct. 1 craft fair.Booths are 10-foot by 10-foot and rental is $35.

People selling handcrafted quality goods are preferred, but vendors selling antiques, collectibles and direct sales products will be considered.

Applications with payment are due by Sept. 21.

<p style="text-align: left"><strong>Graduate school grant available from sorority</strong></p>
Graduate students who are studying guidance or counseling can apply for a grant. Nu Tau Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority will award a $15,000 grant to graduate-level students.

The winner will be chosen based on financial need and scholastic ability.

The deadline is Dec. 10.
