Fairview Road open to traffic after semi hits railroad trestle

A typically busy Center Grove area road was closed this morning after a semi hit a railroad trestle, but had reopened by 7:45 a.m.

The railroad tracks cross overhead of Fairview Road, just west of Leisure Lane. A semi struck the trestle sometime before 7 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

Fairview Road was closed initially due to debris in the roadway. The extent of the damage was not immediately known.
