Roncalli students, staff earn patron honors

Roncalli High School staff and students now have access to view documents related to a saint.Giovanni Gusmini and Izio Bolis from the dioceses of Bergamo, Italy, announced that Roncalli High School has been named the patron of the St. John XXIII Foundation archives in recognition of the school’s donation of $10,000 from last year’s Lenten almsgiving project.

Roncalli has been granted the privilege of having online access to view the archives at the foundation, which include writings, pictures, official church documents, from Saint John XXIII.

Graduate school grant offered by sorority

Graduate students who are studying guidance or counseling can apply for a grant.Nu Tau Chapter of Delta Theta Tau Sorority will award a $15,000 grant to graduate-level students.

The winner will be chosen based on financial need and scholastic ability.

School to celebrate 10-year anniversary

A local private school will be having Mass to celebrate its anniversary.SS. Francis & Clare Catholic School will conduct Mass at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at the school, 5901 Olive Branch Road, Greenwood.

SS. Francis & Clare Catholic School opened its doors to 34 children in kindergarten and first grade Aug. 14, 2006.

The school has since grown to more than 560 students.
