Political activism topic of seminar

Leadership Johnson County will host a one-day seminar on local politics in November.

The workshop Thursday will offer information to residents who want to get involved in politics learn the political process.

Several local speakers will discuss opportunities for public service, how to file to run for office, campaign plans, campaign finance and budgeting, fundraising and media plans.

The event will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Stones Crossing Health Pavilion, 3000 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.

Tickets are $79 per person. This event is co-sponsored by the Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.
