GREENWOOD
Nancy Ann (Jennings) Dine, 85, went to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Nancy was born Jan. 21, 1931, to Thompson and Laura (Wright) Jennings in Greenwood. Nancy grew up working at her parent’s grocery store located near Main Street and Madison Avenue in Greenwood.
Upon graduation of Greenwood High School, she attended Butler University. After a year of college, she decided to move to San Diego to marry her high school sweetheart, Robert L. Dine. The two were married on Christmas Day, 1950, in Yuma, Arizona.
When Robert got out of the U.S. Navy, they moved back to Greenwood to raise a family. They raised three children. Nancy was a lifelong member of Greenwood Presbyterian Church and an AVON rep for over 40 years.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Thompson and Laura Jennings; her husband, Robert L. Dine; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Suzette Dine; and her son, Jeffrey L. Dine.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Dine II; her daughter, Melinda (Tim) McCarthy; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing for Nancy from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon today at Greenwood Presbyterian Church, 102 W. Main St, Greenwood. There will be graveside services at the Greenwood Cemetery for those who wish to attend.
