Great Expectations, a free quarterly childbirth education program, is planned for Saturday at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
From 8:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., visitors can attend educational presentations and learn about health resources and nutrition, get goody bags, tour the maternity center and enter to win door prizes. Expectant mothers are welcome to invite a guest.
Informational sessions include a pregnancy session, which will include information on nutrition, breastfeeding, exercise and warning signs, and a special workshop just for dads.
The labor-delivery-newborn session will include information about what to expect during labor/delivery, infant care, choosing a pediatrician, car seat safety, safe sleep, post-partum exercise and contraception.
