Mabel S. (McClellan) Zeilinga

<p>Mabel S. (McClellan) Zeilinga, 95, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, with her family by her side. She was a longtime resident of Morgantown.</p>
<p>She was born on Sept. 17, 1921, in Indianapolis to Harvey and Mildred (Langley) McClellan. She married John P. Zeilinga on Oct. 23, 1946, at Christian Park Reform Church. He preceded her in passing on June 20, 1990.</p>
<p>Mabel is survived by children, Julie (George) Burton, Jan (Phil) Radcliffe, Jane (Mike) Ward, Joe (Beth) Zeilinga, John Zeilinga (Jamie), William Ruch and Jean Paul Ruch; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Ort (Jeff), Matthew Burton (Deanna), Jill Barczuk (Mike), Johnathan Ward (Jessica), Lenay Rodgers (Lee), Laura Radcliffe, Melanie Zeilinga, Holly Zeilinga, Heather McKee (John), Bryan Zeilinga (Sarah) and Zachary Zeilinga and great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kate and Oliver Ort; Marin and Evan Burton; Lance Rodgers; Caleb Radcliffe; McKenzie and Miley McKee and Thea and Connor Zeilinga.</p>
<p>She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, John; granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Zeilinga; and siblings, Vivian Ooley, Mary Tolbert, Velma Woods, Donald McClellan and David McClellan.</p>
<p>Mabel was a 1939 graduate of Manual High School and attended business college.</p>
<p>She was a homemaker and former employee at Eli Lilly &amp; Co. in Indianapolis. She was a 50 plus year member of Providence Christian Church where she served as a Deaconess and helped with vacation bible school. She was also a Christian Women’s Fellowship educator.</p>
<p>The Rev. Steve Sorensen will conduct a celebration of Mabel’s life at 1 p.m. Saturday at Providence Christian Church, 4080 West County Road 100 North in Bargersville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Harris Cemetery in Bargersville.</p>
<p>Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Christian Church, 4080 West Road 100 North, Bargersville, IN 46106.</p>
