The Gathering Place in Greenwood does a wonderful job offering youth-oriented sporting opportunities. Many thanks to them for helping our youth have participation opportunities.

A special thanks goes out to Malone’s Catering, John Auld, Doug Lechner and all the Franklin Rotary Club members for another successful Jim Rhoades Memorial Hog Roast. With your support we were able to raise over $25,000 for the Interchurch Food Pantry and the Good Cheer Fund of Johnson County. This event wouldn’t be such a success without your support!

Darts to all the drivers heading south on Interstate 65 that get off on the Greenwood Main Street exit and proceed on the exit ramp center lane that has a sign stating SHEEK RD (turning right) but insist on turning the opposite direction (left or east). Although the overhead signs clearly indicate what lane you need to be in, the arrows on the pavement have nearly disappeared. Maybe INDOT, Johnson County or Greenwood could repaint the arrows to help guide people. I have lost count of how many vehicles turn left from the Sheek Road lane, causing backups on the ramp.
