Investigators are looking into both a theft and a fire that gutted a home off Graham Road, just outside of Franklin.
The fire started early this morning, and when family members came to the home, they noticed a vehicle was missing from the property, Sheriff Doug Cox said.
The owners of the home are out of town, he said.
At this point, they are unsure if other items were taken from the home because of how badly it was damaged in the fire, he said.
As far as he knows, no one was in the house, Cox said.
