800 block of W. Jefferson Street: A man reported at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday that he was attempting to sell a wood burner online. A buyer sent him a check over the asking amount. The complainant’s bank verified that the check was fake.
Battery
Northwood Elementary School, 965 Grizzly Cub Drive: Police responded at 1:21 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a student who battered a teacher.
Theft
1800 block of Turning Leaf Drive: A man reported at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday that someone borrowed his vehicle and had not returned it yet.
