Boys basketball

Neal leads Warriors to victory

Whiteland defeated Mooresville on Friday, 55-46. Brennan Neal led the Warriors with 20 points, while Aaron Gross had 11 and Mike Valle added 10. Whiteland improves to 10-3 overall with the win and 2-2 in the Mid-State Conference.

Braves lose in overtime

Indian Creek was defeated by West Vigo in the third-place game of the Western Indiana Conference playoffs Friday. The game went into overtime before the Braves (9-6) fell by a final score of 66-60.

Morristown dominates Edinburgh

Edinburgh lost to Morristown 81-36 on Friday. The Lancers fell to 5-13.

Rebels defeat Ritter

Roncalli topped Indianapolis Ritter in a nail-biter on Friday 61-59. Kellen Schreiber had 12 points from free throws and totaled 18. Collin Sonderman added 15 points for the Rebels (12-5).

Girls basketball

Lawrence North routs Trojans

Center Grove fell to Lawrence North, 64-54. The Trojans finish out the regular season at 14-8 overall and 3-4 in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference.

Warriors taken down by Mooresville

Whiteland was defeated by Mooresville on Friday, 52-32. Jessyca Napier led offensively with nine points.

The Warriors (10-13, 3-3 Mid-State) will face Franklin in a sectional quarterfinal next Wednesday.

Cougars defeat Central Christian

Greenwood Christian topped Central Christian 64-47 on Friday. Greenwood Christian (13-10) will play its sectional opener against host Morristown next Tuesday.
