Seniors to play in all-star game
Four Johnson County senior football players were among those named to play in the annual North-South all-star game this summer.
Center Grove offensive lineman Clay Hadley and defensive lineman Dan Root were both chosen for the South team. They will be joined by Whiteland defensive lineman Ryder Emberton and Greenwood defensive back Dylan Rosado.
Center Grove athletes honored
Each of Center Grove’s winter teams celebrated their seasons at the Winter Recognition Program last Thursday.
Junior Joey Klaasen was presented with the Varsity Academic Award for boys basketball, while senior Allison Utterback received the Outstanding Player Award for the girls team.
In swimming, seniors Noah Tallman and Jillian Castor were named the Most Valuable Swimmers. Junior Gleason Mappes was chosen as the Most Valuable Wrestler.
Adley Reeves was tabbed as the team MVP in cheerleading.
