Doctor hosting session on sinus disease

An informational session on sinus disease will be at 5:30 p.m. April 20 at Stones Crossing Health Pavilion.

The program by Dr. Nicholas Hollenkamp, a board-certified otolaryngologist, will be in the Community Room on the third floor, 3000 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.

Hollenkamp will answer questions and describe symptoms and treatment plans for the illness. Sinus disease signs and symptoms include sore throat, headaches and earache, nasal pain, chronic sinus infections and trouble sleeping.

The information session is free.

Franciscan Health sets directives events

Franciscan Health Indianapolis is hosting several upcoming events to educate the public about the importance of having advance health care directives. Local programs and dates include the following:

  • April 19: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Franciscan Health Indianapolis, 8111 S. Emerson Ave., Terrace Café Alcove.

Informational booth with representatives available to help with advance directives or answer questions. Information, giveaways and door prizes.

  • April 20: 9 to 11 a.m., Greenwood Park Mall, Rejuvenation Station (in front of Sears)

Informational booth, free blood pressure checks, giveaways and door prizes. Healthcare representatives will be available to help fill out or answer questions about advance directives.

  • April 29: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Community Health Care Discussion Day,Franciscan Senior Health & Wellness – PACE, 8325 E. Southport Road, Indianapolis.
