Edinburgh mustered just three hits in five innings Monday on the way to a 10-0 defeat at Rushville.

Gabe Wilson, Tavian Cosby and Kyle Armel had the Lancers’ hits.

<strong>Trojans edged by Irish</strong>

In a battle of state powers, third-ranked Center Grove was handed a narrow 3-2 defeat at No. 2 Cathedral on Monday.

The Trojans swept the doubles points, with Isabella Schoolcraft and Cassidy Hardin winning in straight sets at No. 1 and Carleigh Hardin and Ellie Strube doing the same at No. 2. The Irish, though, took all three singles matches to claim the victory.

<strong>Doubles teams win league titles</strong>

Mooresville picked up the team title at the Mid-State Conference championships, but Johnson County ruled the doubles action, with local duos winning league titles in both slots.

Greenwood’s Alyssa Roscoe and Molly Jacobs, the top seed at No. 1 doubles, capped their run through the bracket with a straight-sets victory in Monday’s final. At No. 2 doubles, the Franklin pair of Allison Bennett and Rachel Pinnick claimed the crown.

Despite a straight-sets win at No. 1 singles from Allie Schooler, Edinburgh came up short against Southwestern (Shelby) on Monday, 4-1.

Playing for third place in the Western Indiana Conference playoffs, Indian Creek fell 5-0 to Sullivan on Monday.

<strong>Rebels blank Falcons</strong>

Roncalli breezed past Perry Meridian on Monday 5-0 to improve to 12-2 overall on the year.

<strong>Grizzly Cubs top Woodmen</strong>

Led by a round of 67 from junior Javan Johnson, Franklin won an 18-hole showdown with county rival Greenwood on Monday, outscoring the Woodmen by a 301-326 margin.

Matt Jordan added a 73 for the Grizzly Cubs.

<strong>Trojans cruise past Mooresville</strong>

Center Grove opened its week with a victory against Mooresville on Monday, shooting a combined 147 to win by 18 strokes.

<strong>Edinburgh finishes third</strong>

Hosting Mid-Hoosier Conference rivals Hauser and North Decatur at Timbergate on Monday, Edinburgh wound up in third place with a team score of 228. Hauser’s total of 187 was good for the win.

Bladen Hancock paced the Lancers with a round of 47.
