<p>Brandon Dinkins and Laura Smeltzer of Hebron announce their engagement.</p>
<p>The future groom is the son of Glen and Mary Dinkins of Greenwood. He is a 2005 graduate of Greenwood Community High School and 2010 graduate of Indiana State University. He teaches sixth- through 12th-grade band and orchestra at Kankakee Valley Middle and High School in Wheatfield.</p>
<p>Miss Smeltzer is the daughter of Randy and Debbie Smeltzer of Spencer. She is a 2007 graduate of Owen Valley High School and a 2011 graduate of Indiana State University. She teaches fifth- and sixth-grade music and sixth-grade band at Merrillville Intermediate School in Merrillville.</p>
<p>The wedding is set for May 27 in Cedar Lake.</p>
