Letter: National anthem disgraced with yodeling performance

<strong>To the editor:</strong>

There is a disturbing trend these days. Our most sacred national song, the national anthem, is being jazzed up and yodeled.

The song should be honored. It is nearly a hymn to many of us who have served our country. No one would yodel "Amazing Grace," "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" or a Christmas carol.

The woman who screeched and yodeled the national anthem at the Johnson County fair should be ashamed of herself for the disgraceful treatment of our beloved anthem.
