Abby Genier made 25 saves in goal as Roncalli held on for a 2-1 win against Franklin Central on Wednesday.
Rita Brockman and Sophia Dietz each scored for the Rebels.

<strong>Warriors edged by New Palestine</strong>
Despite goals from Christian Brown and Isaac Couch, the latter on a penalty kick, Whiteland lost a 3-2 battle with New Palestine on Tuesday. The setback dropped the Warriors to 1-3 overall entering tonight’s match with Greenwood.

<strong>Grizzly Cubs handle Flashes</strong>
Franklin made quick work of Franklin Central on Wednesday, rolling to a 5-0 win.
Jonah Rockey, Josiah Rockey and Ethan Klem were all straight-set winners in singles for the Grizzly Cubs (4-1). Logan Snyder and Andy Bennett coasted at No. 1 doubles, while Corbin Burton and Russell Chain did the same at No. 2.
<strong>Warriors back on track</strong>
After dropping its first two Mid-State Conference matches, Whiteland rebounded with a 5-0 sweep of Decatur Central on Wednesday.
The singles points were swept by Quinten Gillespie, Caleb Scott and Corey Ullrich. Mason Laugle and Garrison Pelfree dropped just one game at No. 1 doubles for the Warriors (4-2, 1-2), and Lane Stevenson and Travis Robinson were victorious in the second position.
<strong>Rebels swept by Perry Meridian</strong>
Roncalli suffered a 5-0 defeat at Perry Meridian on Wednesday. The loss drops the Rebels to 2-2 on the year.
Girls golf
<strong>Grizzly Cubs split 3-way</strong>
Franklin finished second in a three-way match Wednesday, falling seven strokes shy of Mooresville 190-197 while outdistancing Decatur Central by 17 shots.
Taylor Drake tied for the top overall score with a 45 for the Grizzly Cubs, while Avery Auton added a 46.
<strong>Rebels outmatched by Hamilton Southeastern</strong>
Roncalli turned in a solid score of 175 on Wednesday but was no match for Hamilton Southeastern, which turned in a searing 149 for the win Wednesday.
Annie Sullivan led the Rebels with a 40. Nicole Clifford (43), Kathleen Ameis (45) and Sophia Egold (47) rounded out the Roncalli scoring.
Cross-country
<strong>Greenwood boys win, girls second</strong>
Senior Ethan Pine crossed the finish line first as Greenwood’s boys won the Mooresville Invitational on Tuesday with 34 points. Senior Brandon Albin took fifth overall, and Conner Terhune seventh for the Woodmen.
The girls came in second on the strength of Julia Arruda’s second-place effort. Another sophomore, Mallory Watson, placed ninth for the Woodmen, followed by Lauren Spencer in 21st.
