Roads to close for bridge repair

Two Johnson County roads will close beginning this week for the replacement of a bridge and repairs to a drainage pipe.

County Road 775W will be closed, south of County Road 300S beginning today for the replacement of a bridge crossing Koots Fork in Hensley Township, a county highway department news release said.

The replacement is needed because the bridge has deteriorated. Construction is expected to be complete by Nov. 10. The detour routes will be County Roads 300S, 625W, 425S, 750W and 500S to get around the project, the release said.

Tracy Road also will close for a week between County Roads 100E and 200E for repairs to two drainage pipes due to deterioration. Work will begin Tuesday and is expected to be complete by Oct. 16. The detour route is Emerson Avenue to Worthsville Road to Graham Road, the release said.
