Snow falling; road conditions deteriorating across county

Snow is falling across Johnson County and should continue for the next several hours, through the evening commute.

Travel advisory

As of 2:30 p.m., the county remained under a watch travel advisory. That means that conditions are threatening to public safety and that only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended.

Whether the travel warning changes in the coming hours is up to the county commissioners, who decide by consulting with the county highway department and emergency management director.

What’s the rest of the day look like?
