Cougars top Irvington

Kegan Owen erupted for a game-high 31 points, helping Greenwood Christian pull away for a 67-58 triumph against Irvington Prep on Tuesday night.

Payton Modlin added 13 points for the Cougars (7-6), who outscored the Ravens 34-24 after halftime.

SWIMMING AND DIVING

Greenwood girls top Shelbyville

Sweeping first in all 12 events, the Greenwood girls routed Shelbyville in a dual meet Tuesday 125-61.

Alayna Kenworthy (200-yard IM, 50 freestyle) and Alex Wilson (100 freestyle, backstroke) were double individual winners for the Woodmen, who took all three relays. Also victorious were Ashley Brown (200 freestyle), Faith Jackson (diving), Grace Nuhfer (butterfly), Rachel Knight (500 freestyle) and Samantha Loudermilk (breaststroke).

Greenwood’s boys were defeated 124-56.

Trojans swept by Panthers

Facing one of the top programs in its conference, Center Grove was swept by North Central in a Tuesday dual meet.

The Trojan boys were handed a narrow 98-88 defeat, while the girls fell by a 116-70 score.
