Another five Johnson County residents have filed to run for election, raising the total number of candidates on the ballot in the spring primary election to 43.
Here’s a look at the most recent candidates to officially file for office, including two who could end up facing each other in the general election:
- Susan Clare Diagana, Democrat, State Representative District 47
- John T. Young, Republican, State Representative District 47
- Kevin M. Barton, Republican, Superior Court No. 1 Judge
- Justin Griggs, Republican, County Council District 1
- Steve Byerly, Republican, County Council District 2
