More county residents add names to ballot

Another 12 Johnson County residents have filed to run for election, and voters will be choosing between contested races for seats on the Johnson County Council.

Peter Ketchum, who represents District 1, and Rob Henderson, who represents District 2, have filed to run for re-election. Both have challengers for their seats. Justin Griggs, a Republican, is set to run against Ketchum, and Steve Byerly, also a Republican, is set to run against Henderson in the spring primary.

In total, 45 candidates have filed to run for local positions. Filing ends Feb. 9.
