Multiple slide-offs were reported in Johnson County, beginning in the early hours this morning due to slick roads.
Road conditions are improving, but for much of the morning commute intersections, overpasses and bridges were especially hazardous.
By 8 a.m., more than 35 slide-offs and accidents were reported across the county, including a school bus near the intersection of Tracy Road and County Road 300E and a semi that jack-knifed on Interstate 65 at Worthsville Road.
Other vehicles were in ditches or flipped over, and police spent much of the morning responding to multiple accidents.

Officials expect as the temperature rises, road conditions will continue to improve but still are asking drivers to remain cautious on the roads.
Black ice will continue to be on the roads through the rest of the morning. Take it slow and be careful if you must be out on the roads or sidewalks today. #INwx pic.twitter.com/lPyBkZ8iOr
