Braves pick up big road win

Indian Creek bounced back from a narrow Western Indiana Conference playoff defeat in a big way, going on the road and knocking off Class 3A Greensburg 57-48 in nonconference action Monday.

Jared DeHart led all scorers with 29 points for the Braves (11-5), who used a smothering defensive effort to limit the Pirates to just 13 first-half points.

Indian Creek will be back in action Thursday night at Whiteland.

Cougars hold off Gryphons

Champ McCorkle swatted away a last-second layup attempt to help Greenwood Christian hang on for a 61-60 victory at the International School of Indiana on Monday night.

Kegan Owen scored 24 points to lead the offensive charge for the Cougars (10-6, 4-0 PAAC), who scored 44 points in the second half to overcome a 12-point halftime deficit. Payton Modlin contributed a dozen points in the win.
