Andrew Wayne Dillman

GREENWOOD

Andrew Wayne Dillman, son of Wayne and Margaret Dillman of Martinsville, passed from this life to be with our Heavenly Father on January 26, 2018.

He was born on October 28, 1956 in Franklin and spent most of his life in Johnson County. He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1974 where he was on the football, basketball, and track teams.

For the last 12 years, Andy courageously fought a debilitating disease called Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. His sister, Brenda Dillman-Meza succumbed to the same disease in 2007.

Before the illness overtook his body, Andy was an avid fisherman, waterfowl hunter, and enjoyed traveling with his family taking cruises. Besides his parents, Andy is survived by his loving and devoted wife Debra Rynerson-Dillman of 41 years, daughter Andrea (Joe) Dillman-Williams, grandchildren Malarie and Bo Williams, sister Rhonda (John) Dillman-Riley, brother, Timothy (Stephanie) Dillman, and several nieces and nephews.

When his health permitted, Andy loved to attend Mount Pleasant Christian Church where he was a member.

A celebration of his life will be held at Mount Pleasant Christian Church which is located on the corner of 381 Bluff Road and Fairview Road on Friday, February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts be given to Mount Pleasant Christian Church in his memory.

Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
