<strong>Goines claims indoor hurdles title</strong>

Center Grove senior Hailey Goines beat out the state’s best to take first place in the 60-meter hurdles at the Hoosier State Relays, the unofficial indoor championship meet, on Saturday at Indiana University.

Goines, who won in 8.82 seconds, also placed third in the long jump and sixth in the high jump to help the Trojans to a sixth-place team finish. Teammate Kiyah Yeast was second in the 60-meter dash, while Julia Riley was sixth in the 60 hurdles and 10th in the long jump.

Greenwood’s Emily Bonser was fifth in the shot put and Roncalli’s Emily Sonderman was fifth in the long jump. Whiteland got a seventh-place finish in the pole vault from Chloe Sanders, while Franklin’s Kloie Doublin was seventh in the long jump and 14th in the 60.
