TRAFALGAR
Everett D. Grider, 87 of Trafalgar, Indiana passed away April 5, 2018 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. He was born August 25, 1930 in Adair County, Kentucky. He was the son of Waldon E. and Hettie E. (Shepherd) Grider. He married Marjorie Elene (Hale) Grider March 26, 1955. She preceded him in death on November 14, 2012.
He is survived by a son, Douglas (Janell) Grider of Science Hill, Kentucky, daughter, Tammy Link of Trafalgar, Indiana, grandchildren, Seth Grider, Kimberly Link, and Katie link, and a sister, Flora Lee (Donald) Denny of Bargersville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, J.B. Grider, sisters, Genevieve Worsham, Sheila McGaha, and Jean Grider.
He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the US Air Force from 1949 to 1953. He was a member of UAW Local 799.
He retired from Allison’s after 30 years of service where he worked as a machinist.
He enjoyed being outdoors, especially walking around his property, working on tractors, lawnmowers, and tinkering with mechanical things.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 9, 2018 by Reverend Homer Whited at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 2:00 until 5:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh, Indiana.
