Families can see a cartoon on a movie screen together and help feed hungry people in their community in an upcoming event.
The Historic Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., Franklin, is hosting Cartoons for Cans at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 21.
An hour of classic Warner Brothers cartoons will be shown. Different cartoons will be shown at each showtime.
Admission is one canned good or non-perishable food donation per person with all cans collected being donated to Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County.
Since 2014, the event has collected earned more than 5,000 non-perishable food items for donation.
The next event is in November.
