<p>A man was shot at a Greenwood apartment complex Friday night, and police are investigating.</p>
<p>Shane Gross, 26, of Bargersville, was shot in the back during the incident, Greenwood Police Assistant Chief Matt Fillenwarth said. He is hospitalized.</p>
<p>The incident happened just before 10 p.m. Friday night at the BayShore Apartments complex on Main Street, east of State Road 135.</p>
<p>Police are attempting to talk to a large group of people, some of whom are residents, who may have information or be witnesses, Fillenwarth said. Police have learned that a confrontation escalated into shots being fired, he said.</p>
<p>The incident was not a random shooting, he said.</p>
