Robert Jenkins, Jr., 79, passed away on Friday, April 20th, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Boggstown, Indiana.
</p>
<p>
He was born on May 27th, 1938 in Bonnieville, Kentucky to Robert E. and Ruby F. (Hawkins) Jenkins. He married Luria (Bottoms) Jenkins on July 1st, 1972. She lovingly survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Rebecca (David) Baker; one son, Robert E. (wife, Angie) Jenkins; step-children, Sharon (husband, John) Jenkins, Steven (wife, Cassie) Rooks; Jeff (wife, Michele) Rooks; brothers, Jimmie (wife, Sherry), John (wife, Sharon); sister, Virginia (husband, Verle) Line; grandchildren, Cameron, Matthew &amp; Meghan Baker, Angel Barger, David Jenkins, Chaston Rooks, Heather Hyatt, Ryan Rooks; twelve great-grandchildren; niece, Hope Line Clay (husband, Chris and nephew, Tom Line (wife, Amy) and granddogs, Meatball, McAfee, Baker &amp; Orion Jenkins, and grandcats, Richard and Bill Jenkins. He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother, Larry Jenkins.

Bob was a 1957 graduate of Franklin Township High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1961 to 1963.
</p>
<p>
He was employed by Indiana Farm Bureau Co-op in Crop Protection, retiring after many years of service in 1997.
</p>
<p>
He was a member of Fairland Christian Church. Bob loved the Good Lord and his family. He loved to pray, to play his guitar, listening to Bluegrass and enjoyed gardening.
</p>
<p>
Rev. Les Bearden will conduct a celebration of Bob’s life on Tuesday, April 24th, at 10:30 a.m. at Fairland Christian Church, 109 Mulberry Street in Fairland, Indiana. Family and friends may call on Monday, April 23rd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will follow the service at Boggstown Cemetery in Boggstown, Indiana.
