Baseball extends win streak
Franklin College swept a Sunday twinbill against Thomas More, stretching its current win streak to eight games. The Grizzlies, ranked 17th in Division III, won by scores of 10-9 and 5-2.
Ryan Bixler hit his team-leading ninth home run in the opener, while Ben Sprinkle scattered eight hits in the second game, earning a win in his first career start.
Softball splits doubleheader
Olivia Paszek spun a three-hit shutout in the opener, allowing Franklin College to manage a split with conference foe Defiance on Sunday.
The Grizzlies (23-7, 10-4 HCAC) won the first game 7-0 before suffering a 2-1 extra-inning loss in the nightcap.
