Public asked to be on lookout for suspects

Police are looking for two people who fled from a vehicle that was involved in a pursuit and crash this morning.

The public is asked to call police if they see the suspects coming out of the woods or asking for a ride in the Prince’s Lakes area.

The pursuit began in Prince’s Lake with a gray Chevy Equinox headed south on Nineveh Road near Lakeview Drive about 8:45 a.m., a news release from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said.

Once the vehicle crossed into Brown County, it was involved in an accident, and two people ran from the vehicle, the news release said.

It was not immediately clear what incident prompted the initial pursuit.

One of the people was described as a male with short brown hair who was wearing gray sweat pants. The second was described as a female with blond hair, a thin build and tattoos on her face and neck. She was wearing black pants and a gray T-shirt. They were last seen on Beech Tree Road in Brown County, the news release said.
