A man and woman were shot during a domestic disturbance in Trafalgar on Friday night, police said.
They were taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital by helicopter and were in surgery overnight. Investigators were attempting to interview the shooter, a man, at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, in the hours after the incident, Sheriff Doug Cox said.
Another woman who was at the shooting with the man was also at the sheriff’s office for an interview overnight, Cox said.
None of the names of the people involved have been released.
The shooting happened about 9:40 p.m. at 295 S. Raymond Ave. in Trafalgar.
Trafalgar police responded to the scene and asked the sheriff’s office to take over the investigation.
The incident began as a domestic dispute, Cox said.
The incident remains under investigation and more details are expected today.
