Richard L. Warner, 85 of Franklin, Indiana passed away Sunday, April 29th, 2018. He was born September 3rd, 1932 in Franklin to Fred L. and Mabel (Lloyd) Warner. He married Carolyn Mae (Paris) Warner on November 30th, 1952 at 2nd Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Franklin.
</p>
<p>
He was a 1952 graduate of Franklin High School. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed by United Telephone Company, where he retired after 38 years of service July 1st, 1990.
</p>
<p>
He was a 50 year member of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. #107, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, and Franklin American Legion Post #205.
</p>
<p>
He enjoyed all kinds of woodworking and was especially a master of scroll-sawing. He also enjoyed lawn care and loved time with his family and friends. He also painted a lot of homes and completed numerous 1000 piece puzzles.
</p>
<p>
Survivors include his wife Carolyn of 65 years, his son Dale (Joey) Warner of Whiteland, his two daughters, Diane (David) Ladd of Franklin, and Julie (Doug) Adams of Franklin. Also eight grandchildren; Mitchell (Tricia) Ladd of Capitola, California, Dustin (Kara) Adams of Franklin, Rev. Dr. Hannah Adams (Kyle) Ingram of Franklin, Jesse D. Adams of San Diego, California, Alex Ladd of Knoxville, Tennessee, Grace Adams (Kyle) Spratt of Del Rio, Texas, Tracy Warner of Whiteland, and Jack Adams of Franklin. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Makynzie Warner, Bradyn Warner, Jocelyn Adams, Evann Warner and Graham Ladd, and also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Alice McMillin, Lillian Betts, Frances Mitchell, Ruth Ann Carlisle, and infant brother William; also one grandson Daniel Warner.
</p>
<p>
There are no services planned per his wishes. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
</p>
<p>
Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Research, to the Food Pantry or to the donors’ choice of charity.
</p>
