Susan May Scholl Allen, 70, of Brown County, a sinner saved by grace, went to be with her Lord and Master Wednesday May 2, 2018.
</p>
<p>
She was born May 2, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Lester Earl Scholl Jr. and Marcella May Bryngelson Scholl.
</p>
<p>
She married Tom Allen January 20, 1973, and he survives.
</p>
<p>
Susan was member and Sunday school teacher at the Unity Baptist Church.
</p>
<p>
She previously was a member and youth leader at the Morgantown United Methodist Church.
</p>
<p>
She was an accomplished artist with several showings at the Hoosier Art Show.
</p>
<p>
She was a member of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), past president of National Council of Architectural Registration Board and served as chairman of the Architectural Registration Board.
</p>
<p>
Susan received a Sagamore of the Wabash from Gov. Robert Orr.
</p>
<p>
She also served as president of the Brown County Soil and Water Commission and the Brown County Planning and Zoning Commission.
</p>
<p>
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 5, 2018, at Unity Baptist Church, 7361 Spearsville Road, Morgantown, with Nelson Poynter officiating. Burial will follow in the East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions in memory of Susan may be made to the Gideons.

Susan is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Brian (Rachel) Allen of Cape Coral, Florida, and Tim (Holly) Allen of Morgantown, a daughter, Kelly (Joshua) Wesley of Nashville; brothers, Rex (Jenny) Scholl of Given, West Virginia, a twin brother, Tom (Maggie) Scholl of Alva, Florida, Tim (Betty) Scholl of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, Joe (Bonnie) Scholl of Ft. Myers, Florida; and four grandchildren, Marcella Allen, Michelle Allen, Cali Wesley and Caleb Wesley.
</p>

Arrangements were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
</p>
