MEMORIAL DAY MILE, 9 a.m. Monday, courthouse square, Franklin. Registration is $12 for adults and $5 for children, and begins at 7:30 a.m. The 1-Mile men’s and women’s run/walk is designed to encourage Memorial Day observance. Participants are invited to stay for the Memorial Day service on the courthouse lawn afterwards.
