Rebels roll to sectional title
Max Lundy pitched a three-hitter, striking out eight, and Nick Schnell launched a two-run homer as Roncalli overpowered Ben Davis, 10-0, to win a Class 4A sectional championship on Monday.
The Rebels (25-5), winners of 15 straight, scored seven runs in the fifth inning to put the game away. They will now face Cathedral in a regional semifinal at Decatur Central on Saturday.

Shepherd finishes 26th
Erica Shepherd carded a final-round 76 on Monday to finish in 26th place at the Thunderbird International Junior in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Shepherd finished with a three-round total of 227 (11 over par). She now travels to Shoal Creek, Alabama, where she will begin play in the U.S. Women’s Open on Thursday.
