Museum exhibit to feature ice cream parlors

County residents nostalgic for their favorite ice cream place can relive the taste of their favorite scoop in the Johnson County Museum of History’s newest exhibit.

The museum will be opening “Strengthening Community One Scoop At A Time: Johnson County Ice Cream Shops” with an open party from 6 to 8 p.m. June 7 at the museum, 135 N. Main St., Franklin.

The exhibit will show how local ice cream shops have built community in Johnson County, as well as what people remember of their favorite ice cream places.

The event is free and an ice cream social will follow the opening.
