Items were stolen from multiple vehicles in a Franklin neighborhood overnight Thursday.
Two residents in the West Parke neighborhood, off Hospital Road, west of U.S. 31, reported that items had been stolen from vehicles they had left unlocked Thursday night.
An officer investigating those thefts also came across another three vehicles in the neighborhood that had open doors and appeared to have been rummaged through, Franklin Police Department reports said.
Credit cards, rings, a duffel bag and a backpack with guitar equipment valued at about $800, were stolen, but a handgun that had been left in one of the vehicles wasn’t taken, the reports said.
Franklin police are investigating.
