A Franklin senior living community is expanding with the addition of high-end apartments.
Located within Compass Park Senior Living, Youngs Creek Luxury Apartments will expand the community that is already near capacity, chief executive officer Mike Spencer said.
The three new apartment buildings will include 85 units, adding up to 150 more residents, Spencer said. Currently, 350 residents live in the existing community, he said.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments that range from 1,110 square feet to 1,679 square feet, will be for retired individuals, ages 55 and older. Residents within the new community will have complete access to all of Compass Park’s services from home services to skilled nurses, Spencer said. Rent prices have not yet been set.

“This is an addition to what we already do,” Spencer said.
The new buildings will have amenities the current homes do not offer, Spencer said. Apartments will have private balconies, stone counters and wooden cabinetry, which existing apartments in Compass Park do not offer, Spencer said.
The gated community will also have underground parking, a rooftop garden, a coffee bar, a fitness center, pool and a 24-hour security guard, Spencer said.
Construction of the first building on the four-acre property is expected to begin in October. The $11 million project is planned to be done in two phases.
The community is waiting on the final design before getting the needed approvals and permits, Spencer said.
