<p><strong>Warriors handle Golden Bears</strong></p>
<p>Whiteland coasted past Shelbyville on Thursday at Bear Chase, 188 to 219, behind a 39 from medalist Bri Harwell.</p>
<p>Allie Watson shot a 49 for the Warriors, while Lucy Gearhart and Kierra Mitchell each finished with a 50.</p>

<p><strong>Whiteland rolls in opener</strong></p>
<p>Playing its first match of the season, Whiteland blanked Triton Central, 5-0, on Thursday. </p>
<p>Quinten Gillespie, Corey Ullrich and Dylan Gross swept the singles points for the Warriors. In doubles, Garrison Pelfree and Lane Stephenson won at No. 1 while Wesley Hawk and Travis Robinson were victorious at No. 2.</p>

<p><strong>Cougars fall to Edgewood</strong></p>
<p>Greenwood Christian suffered a 6-2 setback against Edgewood on Thursday. Cassie Bigelow and Cameron Northern scored for the Cougars.</p>

<p>Edinburgh was defeated by South Decatur 25-17, 25-20, 25-23 in Mid-Hoosier Conference action on Thursday.</p>

<p>Indian Creek’s girls finished fourth in Wednesday’s invitational at Brown County. The twosome of Shae Biddle and Marissa Smith earned a 10th-place finish as a pair to lead the way for the Braves.</p>
