Pools close this weekend

<p>In a true sign that summer is coming to an end, local pools will be closing after the long weekend.</p>
<p>Pools in both Franklin and Greenwood will be open through Monday, and then will close for the season. The Edinburgh Aquatic Center is closed for the season.</p>
<p><strong>When to swim</strong></p>

<p>Franklin Family Aquatic Center, 390 Branigin Blvd., Franklin</p>
<p>Today and Sunday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.</p>
<p>Monday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.</p>
<p>Freedom Springs Aquatics Park, 850 W. Stop 18 Road, Greenwood</p>
<p>Today: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.</p>
<p>Sunday: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.</p>
<p>Monday: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.</p>
<p><strong>Bring your dogs</strong></p>
<p>One of the final summer events at both pools allows residents to bring their dogs for a swim.</p>
<p>Tuesday, Doggie Pool Day and Pet Fair, Franklin Aquatic Center</p>
<p>5 – 6 p.m., dogs less than 35 pounds</p>
<p>6 – 7 p.m., dogs more than 35 pounds</p>
<p>Register your dog and provide current shot records at the recreation center front desk before entering.</p>
<p>Cost: $5 per dog</p>
<p>Sept. 8, Puppy POOLooza, Freedom Springs Aquatics Park</p>
<p>1 – 2:30 p.m., dogs less than 30 pounds</p>
<p>2:30 – 4 p.m., dogs more than 30 pounds</p>
<p>Dogs must be at least six months old and have current shot records.</p>
<p>Cost: Free, donations will be accepted for the Humane Society of Johnson County</p>
