Ten people were arrested at a Center Grove area home after police found a stolen shotgun, methamphetamine and marijuana as part of an investigation into a drug deal, police said.
The investigation is ongoing. The 10 people who were arrested range in age from 18 to 55 and were arrested on a preliminary charge of visiting a common nuisance, a misdemeanor.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office went to a home at 4307 Messersmith Drive, in a subdivision near Morgantown and Smith Valley roads, because investigators had learned that a stolen shotgun that had been traded for drugs was possibly inside the home, a sheriff’s office report said.

Investigators asked everyone to come out of the home while they got a search warrant from a judge, and they could smell burning marijuana inside at that time, the sheriff’s office report said.
Deputies swept the house to make sure that everyone had come outside. They smelled marijuana and saw smoking devices, marijuana, paraphernalia and other drugs in nearly every room of the home, the report said.
Deputies also found a handgun hidden in a wheel well of a vehicle in the driveway, the report said.
Once deputies received the search warrant, the home was searched and methamphetamine, needles, smoking devices, bongs, scales, packaging materials and guns were found throughout the home. The stolen shotgun that the sheriff’s office had received a tip about was also located, the report said.
The following people were arrested:
Maegan Trulock, 20, 4250 Messersmith Drive, Greenwood;
Kelly Cox, 18, 8995 W. Del Char North Drive, Edinburgh;
Jeffrey Cooper, 18, who lives at the home. He was arrested on an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine, a felony;
Megan Mays, 19, 3220 East Brooke Circle, Indianapolis;
Johnny Johnson, 21, 619 Findlay Lane, Greenwood;
Jordan Fulkerson, 18, 197 Mystic Springs Drive, Greenwood;
Steven Akers, 27, 1002 Lismore Lane, Indianapolis;
Aarron Ridgeway, 28, who lives at the home;
Jessica Cull, 35, 1216 Bloomington St., Greencastle;
Richard Ridgeway, 55, who told investigators he lived at the home but was not the owner.
