Rebels edge Flashes in sectional
Roncalli swept the doubles points to eke out a 3-2 win over Franklin Central in its sectional opener on Wednesday.
Garrett Meek and Jacob Perez won at No. 1 doubles, while Kayden Meek and Tyler Pollard did the same at No. 2. Austin Schofield picked up the Rebels’ other point at first singles.

Despite 10 kills from Abby Sewell and nine from Timber Falin, Franklin College lost at DePauw on Wednesday, 25-19, 25-15, 25-22.
Women’s soccer blanked
Franklin College dropped its final nonconference match of the season, 5-0, against No. 15 Centre on Wednesday. Maddie Fleet had four of the eight shot attempts for the Grizzlies (3-5-1).
