George Lowell Burger

George Burger, 75, of Greenwood passed away on October 3, 2018. George was born in Tuscola, IL on September 14, 1943 to Lowell and Nina Burger. George was raised on a farm in Pittsboro, IN. He loved his family and was a dedicated and proud father who loved to spend time with his children and attend their sporting events. He enjoyed traveling across the United States and his favorite place he always loved going to was Palms Springs, CA. He enjoyed driving his 1976 brown Corvette and attended both Indiana Pacer and Indianapolis Colts games with family and friends. George’s favorite singer/performer was Neil Diamond. He was known to have a green thumb around his residence and cared very much for the perfection of his lawn. George was employed at Trans World Airlines, US Airways, and American Airlines for the majority of his adulthood. George proudly served his country in the United States Army. He cherished his beloved golden labs, Heidi and Ginger. George will be greatly missed.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons, Nicholas Burger and Jeremy Burger; brothers, Michael (Rita) Burger and Ronald (Sandy) Burger; sister, Carolyn (Bill) Ware; adopted daughters, Lisa (Ron) Hicks and Laurie Farris; grandchildren, Lionel Burger, Arwynn Burger, Isabelle Burger and other extended family.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
