NEW WHITELAND
Martha Davis, 74, of New Whiteland, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018. She was born to Victor and Georgia Kincaid on September 6, 1944 in Beatyville, Kentucky.
Martha worked at Preston Safeway as a cashier for 40 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of New Whiteland Baptist Church. Martha enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Martha is survived by her two children, Brian S. (Leslie) Davis of New Whiteland, and Gregory T. (Lisa) Davis of Franklin; four sisters, Malva Richards of Indianapolis, Sue (Larry) Noe of Indianapolis, Virginia (Dwight) Cotton of Indianapolis, and Patricia (Mike) Minks of Mooresville; two brothers, Thomas Kincaid of Columbus, Ohio and Donald Kincaid of Beattyville, Kentucky; and six grandchildren, Morgan Davis, Kyle Davis, Olivia Deveary, Andelyn Deveary, Zachary Davis and Avery Davis.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Georgia (Day) Kincaid; her brother, Rudell Kincaid; and her two sisters, Peggy Gosser and Vivian Shires.
A visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184. A service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Burial will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Kincaid Family Cemetery in Beatyville, Kentucky.
