Flu shots will be available at the library

You can get a flu shot at your local library.

Franciscan Health is offering flu shots and vaccines during walk-in clinics through the Johnson County Public Library.

Clinics are on a first come, first served basis and will be at the following times and locations.

  • Trafalgar library, 424 S. Tower St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
  • Clark-Pleasant library, 530 Tracy Road, Whiteland, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday.
  • Franklin library, 401 State St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 22.

Some paper work will be required and then you may get your vaccination of choice. Vaccinations available include,flue shots, high dose flu shots, pneumonia shots, Prevnar, Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, Shingles Hep A and Hep B combined shot.

Immunizations are available to people six months and older. The pneumonia immunization is recommended for individuals who have frequent upper respiratory infections or chronic medical conditions.
